2008 has been an exciting year for wedding gifts and favors. While traditional favors will always stand the test of time, we still see trends coming and going. This is a highly competitive world we’re living in, and everyone wants the best. No matter what type of season or setting a wedding takes place in, there are always popular themes for the favors. Here is a run down on some of the top wedding favors ideas this year. Just this past summer, for instance, we saw favorable trends toward aqua, silver, and turquoise. Those colors were a top choice for 2008 summer weddings. Couples wanted the three colors mixed together in all ways imaginable so that their wedding would have a lovely splash of color. The wedding favors were all about fun in the sun, as the brides and grooms would give out brightly colored, beach themed favors for all the guests. This past spring, we have seen trends representing the colors green and yellow. Eco-friendly brides and grooms have been giving out water bottles, organic flowers and foods as favors. It’s also been a trend as of late to give charity donations as wedding favors. Instead of just passing out the usual gifts to the guests, the bride and grooms have been donating money to charitable funds on behalf of all their guests. Current wedding favor trends this fall include lovely tea lights, fall leaf-shaped cookie cutters, maple leaf candy, candy corn treats, and even pumpkins! Homemade pumpkin cookies have also been popular wedding favors as of late. Fall colors, such as orange, red, green, and brown, play an important role in wedding themes as well. This means that it has been a popular idea for brides and grooms to present lovely fall-colored wedding favors at their parties. Orange, red, green, and brown candles are popular wedding favors as of late. Another great idea for fall themed wedding favors is giving out leaf-shaped pendants and brooches. Winter is upon us, and now we need to look at some winter themed ideas for wedding favors. If you’re set to get married this winter, you’re probably looking for some great ideas for wedding favors. Well, if so, why not give your guests something warm and friendly? Why not make them all hot chocolate? Add some marshmallows too if you want. You can even buy the glass bottles and decorate them for your guests. Nothing will say “thank you” like this warm gift. Another wedding favor idea for this winter is giving out candles shaped as snowflakes. There are different styles and varieties to choose from, so why not give out different snowflake candles to all your guests? Just as no two snowflakes are alike, let you guests know that they all stand out and that you find them all special. Other cute ideas include snowmen tea lights and winter snow globes. There are obviously great, unique ideas for each season. No matter when you choose to get married, you’ll have plenty of ideas for wedding favors.
